RYS offers six (6) BASEBALL Leagues with eligibility determined by age as of September 1st for the season year. That means league eligibility is based on a player's age as of September 1, 2010. If eligible, players automatically stay on their team from 2009 or a player can request a new team by selecting the draft box on the registration form. Some players like to move up with their team, others like to remain with their league eligible age groupings. New players or players who did not play RYS Baseball in 2009 go into the draft process for team assignment. All leagues are co-ed play.
T-BALL (4 & 5 yr. olds) PREP (10 year olds - 1st Pitching League)
COACH PITCH (6 & 7) MINOR (11 & 12)
ROOKIE (8 & 9 Machine Pitch) JUNIOR (13 & 14 yr. olds)
T-Ball and Coach Pitch play once a week. (T-Ball plays on Saturday. Coach Pitch plays one evening during the week.)
Rookie, Prep, Minor, & Junior Leagues play twice per week. (Primary night combinations are M&W and T&Th. Your team may have an occasional Saturday game on the schedule in place of one of the weekday games or for make-ups.) The league season will start the first week in June and concludes, depending upon weather, at the end of July. Teams usually begin practicing in the second or third week of May. Practices are determined by the team manager/coach.

For a 2010 T-BALL, COACH PITCH, and ROOKIE (Machine) Coaches Manual CLICK HERE Click here for the COVER page. As in the past scores are not captured for Rookie, Coach Pitch, and T-Ball.
As a reminder in T-Ball try to keep just 5 players in the infield and rotate players around. A question came up regarding how many players can be in the infield and it should be just five although we know T-Baller's all tend to go towards the ball. Discuss with your opposing coach before the game so your both on the same page.
For a 2010 PREP, MINOR, and JUNIOR Coaches Manual CLICK HERE Click here for the COVER page.
As a reminder, there is absolutely no stealing home in the Prep League - you must get driven home by a hit or forced home on a bases loaded walk. See the Coaches Manual provided in your picture packet or On-Line above.

2010 Baseball Game Attendees
#1 - THERE IS NO SMOKING AT HABAN PARK - It is a youth facility - you can live without a cigarette for an hour or two. You can do it! No pets or dogs in the park.
*
#2 - Please remember to pick up after your games. * If everyone pitches in we can keep the park clean and it helps with grass-cutting!. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
* COACHES & PARENTS - Please ask your children to pick-up their dugout after their game and parents their sitting areas. There are plenty of barrels available. This is your park and also the next team coming in deserves a clean dugout. With your team there it only takes a few minutes to have them all pick up their trash. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
