Racine Youth Sports is pleased to announce that is has partnered up with Gus Macker to host a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in Racine on August 21-22, 2010. The tournament is open to boys and girls and men and women of all ages and skill levels. The teams consist of 4 players. The entry fee is $116.00 per team. All teams are guaranteed 3 games and t-shirts. Games will be played on the lakefront behind Gateway Technical College and on Monument Square in downtown Racine.
The weekend event will include a slam dunk contest, free throw shooting contest, around the world contest and a chapel service on Sunday morning. As RYS will not be administering a Basketball league this year the YMCA, Park & Recreation Optimist group, AAU, RPAL and others offer basketball leagues in the community. Registration for the YMCA (register at the Y downtown- ages 4-9) - please call them at 634-1994. The Optimist (register at City Hall Annex - Grades 2nd to 8th grade - telephone 636-9131). We do not have any contacts for RPAL or any AAU teams.
