Football Coaches Resources
These individuals take on a variety of different roles relating to program operation. If you are interested in being considered, please send an email to
We view our coaches to be teachers on the field. We do not condone using the RYS league as a personal "fantasy football league."
The Football Program operates under the overall RYS philosophy of “Giving Kids a Sporting Chance”. The objectives of this program are:
1). To develop the physical and mental well being of the individual
2). To increase self-confidence and self-respect
3). To encourage leadership development.
4). To develop better citizens through team play and sportsmanship-like competition.
5). To provide a top quality physical education program, and allow every youth to participate
6). To develop their skills to the extent they desire
7). To teach a proper attitude toward competition and discourage the “win at all costs” attitude.
The goal is to teach each player that they are a winner if they give their best effort-regardless of the score.
The RYS Football program uses these objectives to measure success, not wins and losses.
This page is designed to inform and instruct the football coaches of RYS. We will post information about rule changes, registration, equipment pick-ups/returns, and more here.
Be sure to check back often.
Coaches and Referees must complete the RYS Volunteer Form in order to be considered for a coaching position or referee job
