All of us at Racine Youth Sports are excited to announce our new baseball director, Steve Anderson!
Steve has a long, fun history with Racine Youth Sports. The relationship has been mutually beneficial. He spent 11 years coaching his three sons in RYS baseball. During those years, Steve supported the baseball program’s operations. He served 5 years as a member of the baseball committee and then he took on the role of Baseball Director for the next 4 years.
After baseball, Steve and his three sons became umpires. They attended the Wisconsin Umpires Association (WUA) training program in 2009. He officiated about 100 games a season. He worked U10 competitive tournament games up to 64+ year old men’s leagues. In 2010, Steve became the WUA Assistant to the Director of Training. A role he held until his retirement from umpiring in 2022. His overall baseball knowledge as well as his training background will be beneficial to our program. He truly looks forward to reengaging with RYS Baseball.
Steve will be working along side our executive director and the RYS board to improve our baseball program. We look forward to a fun and successful season!
