Fall Football

It's that time of year again, Time to start planning for the fall season! We would like to thank everyone for helping us have an amazing season last year. We appreciate all of your support and were excited for this season as we continue to build a quality football program for the youth in Racine! We have some exciting news for this upcoming year!

Starting this upcoming fall football season, Angels Youth Football will be merging into Racine Youth Sports and playing under our umbrella of operations.  The Angels Youth Football Association has been an established successful organization for the last several years within SEYFA and well respected within the league.  They share in our mission to create an outstanding youth football experience for the Racine community and bring with them many great coaches, players and families.  This will provide us the opportunity to have teams at many different grade levels and have more consistent teams within our organization.

We have also partnered with Lutheran High School for the 2022 season. The Crusaders have been with RYS for over 20 years and we're excited to continue working with them this season. These two partnerships are going to continue to elevate RYS football and will allow us to build off the amazing 2021 season we had.

Going forward this season, teams will be either a RYS Angel or a RYS Crusader.  Registration is open online, teams will be limited to 18-19 players and spots will fill up quick, so please get registered as soon as possible. Registration will be first come first serve! It is important that you register early to secure your spot.

General Football information

The Football Program operates under the overall RYS philosophy of “Giving Kids a Sporting Chance”.  The objectives of this program are to develop the physical and mental well being of the individual, to increase self-confidence and self-respect, and to encourage leadership development.  We wish to develop better citizens through team play and sportsmanship-like competition. Provide a quality physical education program, allow every youth player to participate, and develop their skills to the extent they desire. We teach a positive attitude toward competition and discourage the “win at all costs” attitude. The goal is to teach each player that they are a winner if they give their best effort-regardless of the score.

Youth football teaches kids important life skills:

*How to finish something you start.
*How to be accountable
*How to be disciplined
*The value of Goal setting
*Teamwork and leadership

*How to be selfless.
*That there are no shortcuts.
*How to stand for something.
*How to accomplish something bigger than oneself
